Well Pharmaceuticals Paracetamol 500mg Effervescent Tablets relieve mild to moderate pain including rheumatic and muscular pain, backache, toothache, neuralgia (severe nerve pain), period pain, migraine, headache, fever, colds, sore throats and influenza in adults and children aged 12 years and over. These soluble tablets are a great choice for people who have difficulty swallowing tablets.
Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products.
How to Use
For oral use only. Read the enclosed leaflet before you take this medicine. Dissolve the tablets in a glass of water. Then drink the whole contents of the glass.
- Adults and children over 15 years: Take one to two tablets every 4 to 6 hours, up to a maximum of eight tablets in any 24 hour period.
- Children 12 to 15 years of age: Take one tablet every 4-6 hours as required. Maximum dose of four tablets in 24 hours.
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days, talk to your doctor. Do not take for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor.
Warnings
- Not for children under 12 years of age.
- Do not take if you are sensitive to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients.
- Do not take with alcohol.
- Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products.
- Sodium: There is 4.8mg of sodium in each effervescent tablet. This may be harmful to people on a low sodium or low salt diet.
Consult your doctor before taking Well Pharmaceuticals Paracetamol 500mg Capsules if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have severe kidney or liver problems.
- You have a liver problem caused by alcohol.
- You have severe illnesses, including severe renal impairment or sepsis (when bacteria and their toxins circulate in the blood leading to organ damage), or you suffer from malnutrition, chronic alcoholism or if you are also taking flucloxacillin (an antibiotic). A serious condition called metabolic acidosis (a blood and fluid abnormality) has been reported in patients in these situations when paracetamol is used at regular doses for a prolonged period or when paracetamol is taken together with flucloxacillin.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. This includes
medicines obtained without prescription, including herbal medicines. This is because paracetamol can affect the way some other medicines work. Also some other medicines can affect the way paracetamol works.
