Description

The Newfoundland Bowel Health Test is a Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) that detects hidden blood in the stool, known and Faecal Occult Blood (FOB). In the early stages, many gastrointestinal problems such as colorectal cancer., ulcers, polyps, colitis, diverticulitis and fissures may not show any visible symptoms and the occult blood is passed in such small amounts that it can be detected only through the chemicals used in a FOB test. When detected early, 9 out of 10 cases of bowel cancer can be treated successfully.

FIT is widely used across the NHS in primary care. The Newfoundland Bowel Health Test allows you to take the same test without waiting to see a doctor, with results that are over 99% accurate and displayed in just 5 minutes.
