Why re-vaccinate against COVID-19?

Unlike seasonal viruses such as flu and RSV, COVID-19 doesn't tend to follow a regular pattern throughout the year.* Surges in infections are often linked to the appearance of new variants, making it less predictable than other seasonal illnesses. This means that immunity to the virus can wane over time,* so keeping up to date with recommended vaccinations in both spring and autumn can help provide ongoing protection.
