In England, we will support you with accessing the training provision offered by NHS England as well as providing you with a community speific training programme. You will receive an initial induction and up to 4 hours study time per week. Well Pharmacy will provide you with support to pass the registration assessment, through multiple face-to-face and online study days which will cover a variety of topics relevant to community pharmacy.
By completing your Foundation Training with Well Pharmacy, we will cover your GPhC and RPS fees and provide you with a Designated Supervisor who will support you with building your skills and knowledge to become a Responsible Pharmacist, whilst also reviewing your evidence on the eportfolio to sign off your learning outcomes.
You will also be invited to our Annual Preparation for Practice conference where you will meet senior leaders and further develop your clinical skills and leadership skills needed for a Newly Qualified Pharmacist role.
In addition, you will be provided with a DPP to enable you to build your prescribing competences.
12-month programme
This will be a 12-month placement in one of our community pharmacies. Within this placement you will spend a minimum of 90 hours at a different site alongside your DPP to enable you to meet the IP learning outcome. Please note, the DPP site will be a maximum of 60 minutes travel time and no more than 20 miles.
Digital and Community Pharmacy Placements
This will be a 12-month placement with Well split into 6 months in one of our community pharmacies and 6 months at our Digital Pharmacy, which is our Distant Selling Pharmacy based in Stoke. During your time in our Digital Pharmacy, you will have access to a DPP to enable you to build your prescribing competency. Also during your time within our Digital Pharmacy, you will have the opportunity to learn how we provide care remotely, this will involve digital prescription processing and checking electronic health records when private services are provided. Multisector placements: Hospital and Community split
This will be a 12-month programme where you will spend a minimum of 3 months at a hospital we have partnered with and the remaining time in one of our community pharmacies. The hospital will support with the DPP provision. Please note, the DPP site will be a maximum of 60 minutes travel time and no more than 20 miles.

How to apply in England
All applicants must register and apply through ORIEL from 4th June 2025 at 12pm and close on 18th June 2025 at 12pm.
Candidate preferences will open on 23rd July 2025 and close on 23rd October 2025.
The numeracy/SJT booking window opens on 30th July 2025 and closes on 13th August 2025. The numeracy/SJT assessments will happen between 18th September 2025 until 1st October 2025.
