Product Description
Product name: Imodium SoftGels Capsules 2 mg, pack of 6. These are small, soft gelatin (“softgel”) capsules filled with loperamide, designed for fast relief from diarrhoea. According to the manufacturer, it can relieve diarrhoea within about 1 hour.
Active & Inactive Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Loperamide hydrochloride 2 mg per capsule.
Other Ingredients: Propylene glycol monocaprylate, propylene glycol, gelatin, glycerol, soya lecithin, medium chain triglycerides, brilliant blue (E133), and purified water.
How to Use / Dosage
Initial dose: Take 2 capsules to start.
Maintenance dose: Then take 1 capsule after each loose stool, if needed.
Maximum daily dose: Do not take more than 6 capsules in 24 hours.
For acute (short-term) diarrhoea, do not use it for more than 48 hours.
For IBS‑diarrhoea (if you have an IBS diagnosis): same dosing (2 to start, then 1 after each loose stool), but max 6 capsules/day
