Product Description
Acnecide Face Gel 2.5% is a leave-on treatment indicated for mild acne of the face (mainly blackheads and whiteheads) in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over. It contains 2.5% w/w of the active ingredient Benzoyl Peroxide. The gel is applied once daily initially (usually at night) to the affected areas and may be increased to twice daily if well tolerated. Although many product listings reference a 5% strength version, the 2.5% strength is specifically indicated for less severe acne and may be gentler on skin.

Excipients (selected) include propylene glycol (4.0% w/w in each gram); docusate sodium; disodium edetate; poloxamer; carbomer; colloidal anhydrous silica; sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment); purified water.
The gel base allows application in a thin layer to the skin and is designed as a leave-on treatment.
