Pharmacy runs in the family for Amie - her dad is also a pharmacist and the inspiration behind her career. She loves helping people live happier, healthier lives. Amie holds an MPharm degree from Aston University, and an Independent Prescribing qualification from Keele University. She also completed her Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway in 2022.
Amie's journey with the business began in 2008 as a summer trainee (back when we were operating as The Co-operative Pharmacy), before she officially joined as a trainee Pre-Registration Pharmacist in 2010.
Over the years, Amie has worked across a variety of different roles, including a Branch Manager position which she held for 12 years, and involved the training of 5 of our pharmacists. Her success was recognised in 2018 when she was awarded the Pharmacist Branch Manager of the Year Award for Well Pharmacy.
Currently, Amie works as Digital Services Pharmacist where she specialises in delivering a range of services (such as weight management), and an Independent Prescriber where she offers prescriptions to patients for treatments such as hair loss and ED. Just to add more strings to her bow, she also works 2 days a week as a Clinical Pharmacist in a GP surgery.
Outside of work, Amie loves to teach and share her knowledge of spirituality, as well as spend time in nature enjoying the sunshine. Originally from Zimbabwe, Amie believes there is no such thing as a day that is 'too hot'! She also has a bit of a daredevil streak, having sky-dived, walked with lions, and ridden many a rollercoaster.
