Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment recycling (WEEE)

If you’re buying a new electrical item from one of our pharmacies, we will take back your old one for free.

As of 1st January 2021, we are pleased to offer our customers the chance to recycle their old electrical items when purchasing a like-for-like replacement item from us. Please speak to a member of staff for details on how to dispose of your Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Buying a new electrical or electronic item from us? We'll recycle the one you’re replacing for free. Simply bring the old electrical item in within 28 days, show us the receipt for its replacement and we’ll do the rest.

The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items.

In the UK, distributors (including retailers) are required to provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge. As a responsible retailer, we meet these requirements by offering our customers buying new electrical and electronic equipment free take-back of their old electricals on a like-for-like basis.
