We know how important it is to safeguard our customers. We also know that you will still want to reach a healthy weight. Although you will not be able to access the service now, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your consultation with you.
This will depend on your personal circumstances and medical history. Once you’ve spoken to one of our pharmacists, they’ll let you know if you may be eligible for the service in the future. But not everyone will be able to use a medicated weight loss treatment.

Choosing a weight loss approach that will work will depend on your personal circumstances.
You may be on a medication, need support with your diet and nutrition or have a health condition that affects your weight.
To know what will work best for you, talking to a healthcare professional like a pharmacist or GP can help. They’ll be able to advise you on lifestyle changes. Your doctor can refer you to specialists if you need further support.
Like our pharmacy, the NHS has strict guidelines on who can access medicated weight loss treatments. To be eligible for the NHS weight loss service, you will only be prescribed Wegovy (semaglutide) if:
- If you have weight-related health issues like prediabetes, high blood pressure or sleep apnoea
- Are White with a BMI of 35 or more*
- Area Asian, Black African or African-Caribbean, Chinese, or Middle Eastern, with a BMI of 32.5**
**If you have a weight-related health condition, have a BMI of 27.5 to 32.4 and are of Asian, Black African or African-Caribbean, Chinese, or Middle Eastern origin, you will be offered treatment with Wegovy.
