Description
Well Pharmaceuticals Hayfever & Allergy Relief Cetirizine 10mg Tablets provide relief for the symptoms of hayfever and allergic rhinitis (e.g. dust and pet allergies), such as runny or blocked nose and itchy or watery eyes. It can also be used to relieve urticaria (swollen, red itchy skin).
Cetirizine 10mg Tablets are suitable for adults and children from 6 years.
How to Use
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over:Take one tablet (10mg) once daily or half a tablet (5mg) twice daily.
- Children aged 6-12 years: Take half a tablet (5mg) twice a day.
If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
Warnings
- It is recommended that you avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
- This medicine does not usually cause drowsiness when taken at the recommended dose, however if you are affected do not drive or operate machines.
- If you have been previously told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars (such as lactose), contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
- If you are due to have an allergy test, ask your doctor if you should stop taking this medicine several days before testing. This medicine may affect your allergy test results.
Do not take Well Pharmaceuticals Hayfever & Allergy Relief Cetirizine 10mg Tablets if:
- Are known to be allergic to cetirizine dihydrochloride or any of the other ingredients or to hydroxyzine or to piperazine derivatives (closely related active substances of other medicines).
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have severe kidney disease requiring dialysis.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Well Pharmaceuticals Hayfever & Allergy Relief Cetirizine 10mg Tablets if:
- You have kidney problems (you will need to take a lower dose of this medicine as determined by your doctor).
- You have problems passing urine (like spinal cord lesion, prostate or bladder problems) as cetirizine increase the risk of urinary retention.
- You suffer from epilepsy or are at risk of convulsions.
Ingredients
- Active Ingredient: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10mg.
- Other Ingredients: Lactose anhydrous, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, sodium croscarmellose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (E464), polydextrose, titanium dioxide (E172) and macrogol/polyethylene glycol 4000.
