Description
Viagra is a branded erectile dysfunction (ED) medication containing the active ingredient sildenafil. It is available as an oral tablet and is suitable only for men aged 18 and over.
Viagra works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, improving blood flow to help achieve and maintain an erection. Sexual arousal is required for it to be effective.
How to use
- Read the patient information leaflet before use.
- Take one tablet about 1 hour before sexual activity.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not take more than one tablet per day.
Viagra typically remains active in the body for around 4 hours.
Warnings & Restrictions
Do NOT take Viagra if you:
- Do not have erectile dysfunction.
- Take nitrate medicines for chest pain or heart failure.
- Take riociguat (or other guanylate cyclase stimulators) for pulmonary hypertension.
- Take ritonavir for HIV treatment.
- Have been advised to avoid sexual activity due to heart or blood vessel problems.
- Have severe heart or liver issues.
- Have low blood pressure.
- Have ever experienced severe vision loss or have a rare inherited eye disease.
- Have a penile deformity.
- Are allergic to any ingredient in the medication.
Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you:
- Get very breathless or experience chest pain during light–moderate activity.
- Have any heart condition.
- Have uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- Are taking medicines listed in the leaflet.
- Use any other ED treatments.
- Have ever had an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
- Have a stomach ulcer or bleeding disorder.
- Have diagnosed mild to moderate liver issues.
- Have severe kidney problems.
Storage Instructions
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C.
Keep tablets in their original packaging.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Dispose of unused tablets safely by returning them to a pharmacy.
