Description
Tadalafil is a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men over 18. It works by relaxing blood vessels in the penis to improve blood flow, helping you achieve and maintain an erection when sexually aroused.
A key feature of tadalafil is its long-lasting effect—up to 36 hours—which allows for more spontaneity. The 2.5 mg daily version is designed for men who have sex regularly and want continuous readiness.
Tadalafil only works with sexual arousal, so it will not cause an erection on its own if libido is low.
How to use
Please read the patient information leaflet before use.
- Take at least 30 minutes before you want to have sex.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water.
- Do not take more than one tablet a day.

Effects may last for around 36 hours.

Sexual arousal is still required for it to work.
Warnings
Do not use if you:
- are allergic to tadalafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- are taking any form of organic nitrate or nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite
- have serious heart disease or recently had a heart attack within the last 90 days
- have had a stroke within the last 6 months
- have low blood pressure or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- have ever had loss of vision because of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), a condition described as “stroke of the eye”
- are taking riociguat.
Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before taking if you have:
- sickle cell anaemia (an abnormality of red blood cells)
- multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow)
- leukaemia (cancer of the blood cells)
- any deformation of your penis
- a serious liver problem
- a severe kidney problem.
Storage
- Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
- Store in a cool, dry place below 30°
- Keep in original packaging and do not use after the expiry date.
- If you want to dispose of Cialis, take it to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
