Description
Spedra contains the active ingredient avanafil, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It improves blood flow to the penis, helping you achieve a firmer, longer‑lasting erection when sexually aroused. It does not treat underlying causes of ED or increase sexual desire.
How to Use
- Take one tablet 1 hour before sex.
- Do not take more than one tablet in 24 hours.
- Works best on an empty stomach.
- Alcohol can reduce effectiveness.
- Avoid grapefruit juice for 24 hours before taking Spedra.
- Do not combine with other ED medicines.
How Long It Lasts
Effects can last for up to 4 hours.
Side Effects
Possible side effects include:
- Facial flushing
- Headache
- Light headedness
- Nasal or sinus congestion
- Indigestion
- Palpitations
- Blurred vision
- Drug interactions with Spedra
- If you take alpha-blockers (such as doxazosin or tamsulosin), you should wait at least 6 hours between taking those and taking Spedra. You will be unsuitable for Spedra if you are taking nicorandil or nitrates, such as GTN spray or isosorbide mononitrate tablets to treat angina.
Recreational drugs react dangerously with Spedra. It is important that you let us know which prescription, over-the-counter medicines and recreational drugs you are taking so that we can prescribe Spedra safely
