Active Ingredient: Chloramphenicol 1% w/w (10 mg per gram of ointment)

Use: Topical antibiotic ointment applied to the eye surface to treat acute bacterial conjunctivitis in adults and children aged 2 years and over

Suitable for adults and children aged 2+.

Not for use in those allergic to chloramphenicol, or with a history of blood disorders or bone marrow suppression

Contact lens users should not wear lenses during treatment and wait ≥24 hours after completion before resuming soft lenses

Apply roughly 1 cm of ointment in the affected eye(s) 3–4 times per day for 5 consecutive days, even if symptoms improve sooner

Discard any remaining ointment after the 5-day course or if the tube has been opened for more than 28 days
