Who should take a UTI self-test?
Anyone with symptoms of a urinary tract infection:
- Pain or burning while urinating.
- Cloudy urine, blood in urine or strong smelling urine.
- Pain or cramping in the groin or lower abdomen.
How to Use
- Remove the strip from the sealed pouch and hold absorbent tip in urine stream or in a collected urine sample for 1-2 seconds.
- Remove the tip from the urine and place the test stick on an absorbent material (e.g. paper towel) to remove excess urine.
- Read result at 1 minute for nitrites and at 2 minutes for leukocytes.
- Match the colour of the test strip pads to the colour blocks on the chart provided to determine results.
- Do not interpret the results after 3 minutes.
