How to Use
Laxatives for constipation can generally be taken before, after or with a meal, however Dulcolax Adult 5mg Gastro-resistant Tablets should not be taken with milk, antacids or proton pump inhibitors. They have a special ‘enteric coating’, which protects the tablet from the stomach’s acidic environment and ensures it's released in the large intestine, where it’s needed most.
Adults over 18 years: Take one or two tablets daily before bedtime, or as directed by your doctor. If you have not taken Dulcolax before, take one tablet and increase to two if necessary. Swallow tablets whole with water.
Adults and children over 12 years old: Take one or two tablets daily before bedtime, or as directed by your doctor. If you have not taken Dulcolax before, take one tablet and increase to two if necessary. Swallow tablets whole with water.
Warnings
Does not help with weight loss
Overuse can be harmful
Keep out of sight and reach from children
Do not store above 25oC
If laxatives are needed for more than 5 days in a row consult your doctor
Do not take if you have an intestinal obstruction and inflammatory gastrointestinal disorder, or severe dehydration, or if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breast-feeding
