If you’re eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination, let us know when booking your appointment, and you won’t be charged. You’ll need to bring some evidence with you to your appointment that shows you’re eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination, like proof of age or a reminder letter or text message.
If you cannot provide this evidence on the day of your vaccination, you will be charged.
What is the flu jab?
The flu jab is a safe and effective way to protect yourself and your family against the flu virus. It can take between 10 and 14 days after getting the flu jab for it to become effective. Having the flu vaccine means although you might still get flu, you will likely have milder symptoms and recover faster than if you hadn’t had the vaccine. Getting the flu jab also helps to protect other people from catching flu from you. 1
