Mounjaro is an evidence-based solution for weight management

Mounjaro is one of the most recognisable medicated weight loss products in the UK. It’s clinically proven to support weight loss. But what if you’re struggling to lose weight while using it? We explain some of the reasons why you might not be reaching your goals.

You’ve only just started using it

Mounjaro supports weight loss over time. You won’t get instant results. However, within the first few weeks of using it, you may notice that you feel fuller, can manage your cravings better and, if you have diabetes, have lower blood sugar readings.1

But even though the medicine triggers gradual weight loss, you might not be noticing the changes that are happening to your body. It’s good to take progress photos and body measurements to track your weight loss. Checking how your clothes fit can also be a good indicator of how far you’ve come.

You’re not eating a balanced diet

A healthy diet made up of lean proteins, whole foods and fibre is essential not only for weight loss but your general wellbeing. If you’re relying on empty calories for fuel, you’ll feel like you need to eat more, which could slow down your progress.

Staying mindful of your food choices can help you to eat healthier meals. You can also try:

  • Eating in a calorie deficit. The maximum amount of calories recommended for men is 2500 and 2000 for women
  • Eating 3 regular, balanced meals every day
  • Having meals at set times
  • Having healthy, sugar-free snacks when you’re physically hungry. 2
You're not exercising regularly

Staying active is the cornerstone of good health. Not only does it help you to burn calories, it’s a great way to boost your confidence, improve your mobility and socialise.

You should try to add at least 150 minutes or 3 hours of exercise to your routine each week.3

Swimming, walking, weightlifting or Zumba classes are only some of the ways to get moving.
