This medicine is sold under the discretion of a Well Pharmacist.
You will be required to answer a few short questions to ensure this medicine is suitable for you.

For the short term treatment of acute moderate pain which is not relieved by paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin alone and as an antipyretic in conditions such as: headache; migraine period pain; toothache and other dental pain; back pain; muscular and joint pains and neuralgia.

How to Use

Adults:

One or two tablets every four to six hours.

Do not exceed 8 tablets in any 24 hour period.

Do not take for more than 3 days continuously without medical review.

Paediatric Population

Adolescents 16 years old and over:

One or two tablets every four to six hours.

Do not exceed 8 tablets in any 24 hour period.

Do not take for more than 3 days continuously without medical review.

Adolescents 12–15 years old:

One tablet every four to six hours.

Do not exceed 4 tablets in any 24 hour period.

Do not take for more than 3 days continuously without medical review.

Children under 12 years:

The product should not be used in children below the age of 12 years because of the risk of opioid toxicity due to the variable and unpredictable metabolism of codeine to morphine.

Warnings

For short term use only. If you need to use this medicine for more than three days at a time, see your doctor or pharmacist. Taking codeine regularly for a long time can lead to addiction. Taking a painkiller for headaches too often or for too long can make them worse

Do not exceed the stated dose

Do not take if you: have or have ever had stomach ulcer, or perforation or bleeding of the stomach. Have breathing difficulties. Are allergic to any of the ingredients or to aspirin or to other painkillers. Suffer from severe liver, kidney or heart problems. Suffer from chronic constipation. Are taking other NSAID pain killers, or aspirin with a daily dose above 75mg daily. Are in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Are under 12 years old

Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before taking the tablets if you. Have asthma, liver, kidney, heart or bowel problems. Suffer from a thyroid disorder. Have a head injury. Have low blood pressure. Are in the first 6 months of pregnancy

Store below 25°C in a dry place

This medicine contains codeine which can cause addiction if you take it continuously for more than three days. If you take this medicine for headaches for more than three days it can make them worse.
