Avomine 25mg Tablets are used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness, vertigo, and other conditions. Each tablet contains 25mg of promethazine, an antihistamine that works by blocking the effects of histamine in the brain to reduce symptoms. Avomine can also be used to manage allergic conditions
How To Use
Adult - long journey - one tablet at bed time before you travel
Adult - short journey- one tablet 2 to 3 hours before travelling
Adult - Travel Sickness - one tablet when you feel sick followed by a second tablet the same evening . Take a third tablet the next evening if necessary .
Adult - Nausea and Vomiting due to other causes - one tablet at night is usually enough but two or three tablets may be taken.
Children over 10 years - lower adult dose ( 1 tablet_
Children 5 - 10 years - half adult loer dose ( 0.5 tablets)
Children 2 -5 - not recommended - suggest oral liquid
Children under 2 - not suitable
Warnings
Do not use on children under 5.
Pregnancy - avoid taking unless direct by a doctor.
Breastfeeding - avoid taking unless directed by a doctor- may cause the baby to be irritable or excited .
Alcohol - avoid taking Alcohol as these tables may enhance the effect
Machinery/ Driving - may make you feel sleepy , dizzy , disorientated or confused .
