Description

Prochlorperazine is an effective medicine to treat migraine related nausea and vomiting that can start to work in around 30-60 minutes.

Prochlorperazine belongs to a class of medicines called phenothiazines. They are thought to work by blocking the action of dopamine in the brain, which stops nausea messages being sent from the brain.

How to Use

Prochlorperazine can be taken by most adults (18+) and is available in a number of different forms. You can usually take the medicine up to two times a day when you need it.

Warnings

Common side effects include feeling sleepy and blurred vision. It's best not to drink alcohol when taking this medicine as it can increase the chances of side effects such as feeling sleepy.
