Wegovy is a weight management injection, used to help suppress your appetite and reduce cravings using the active ingredient semaglutide.
Semaglutide reduces your 'food noise' by mimicking a naturally occurring hormone called GLP-1. Once you've eaten, the medicine helps lower your blood sugar and sends signals to your brain to make you feel fuller for longer.
Wegovy is an at-home injection treatment that is a safe and sustainable way to lose weight and lessen your appetite.
Wegovy is an injection you take once a week.
It comes in the form of a 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg and 2.4mg injection. Each dose is taken every week, for 4 weeks, starting from the lowest dose and ending on the highest.
Along with a healthy diet and exercise, Wegovy can help support a sustainable weight loss journey.
As soon as our pharmacists have checked Wegovy is right for you, we'll send you your first dose in discreet packaging.
One of our pharmacists will contact you every 4 weeks to make sure you're ready for a stronger dose of the medicine.
You'll start with the 0.25mg injection in month 1 and work your way up to the 2.4mg dose in month 5. Each dose comes in a different coloured injection pen.
With our flexible home delivery and Click and Collect services, you can get your next dose wherever you are.

For best results, you should inject Wegovy into your upper arms, tummy, or the fronts of your thighs.
If you decide to inject into your tummy, avoid your belly button by 2 inches.
Always make sure that your injection site is clean before you insert the needle of the injector pen. Check the liquid in the window of the pen is clear and colourless before use.
To inject Wegovy:
- Pull off the pencap
- Take the needle and tear off the paper tab
- Push needle straight into the pen and turn it until it’s on tight
- The needle is covered by 2 caps – you must remove both caps – pull off outer cap and keep for later, pull off inner cap and dispose
- Set your dose
- Choose injection site
- Inject your dose by inserting the needle into your skin. Press and hold down dose button until counter shows a zero.
- Remove needle from skin
- Cover the used needle with the outer cap kept aside
- Unscrew needle and dispose of immediately into sharps bin
- Put the pencap back on to protect Wegovy from light.
If you’re not sure how to inject Wegovy, our pharmacists will discuss this with you.
