Description
Sominex tablets are a treatment for short-term insomnia, helping you to drop off for some restful sleep when you're struggling with sleepless nights.
How to Use
Adults (16+): one tablet at bedtime. May be taken up to one hour after going to bed when sleep is difficult to achieve.
Warnings
Not to be used for more than 7 days without medical advice.
This product causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery.
Sominex should not be used in pregnancy unless the physician considers it essential.
Use of alcohol should be avoided.
Sominex Tablets contain lactose. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Sominex Tablets if you:
- Have asthma.
- Have breathing problems or bronchitis.
- Have experienced or are being treated for seizures (e.g. epilepsy). Sominex may affect the risk of seizure.
- Have difficulty passing urine.
- Have glaucoma (raised pressure inside the eyeball).
- Have prostate trouble.
- Have kidney or liver problems.
- Have heart problems.
- Have a blocked intestine.
- Are taking other medicines.
Ingredients
Active Ingredient: Promethazine Hydrochloride 20mg.
Other Ingredients: Lactose, Maize Starch, Croscarmellose Sodium, Magnesium Stearate.
