Propecia is a branded product which contains the active ingredient Finasteride.
Finasteride is an effective treatment use for male pattern baldness which is a prescription only medicine taken as a daily tablet to stimulate new hair growth.
Finasteride inhibits the action of an enzyme which metabolises testosterone into a more potent dihydrotestosterone, also known as DHT Finasteride tablets are taken daily in tablet form and treatment must be continuous for it to be effective.
Warnings
