Proud partners of Alzheimer's Society
Supporting people living with dementia
We’re proud to be working in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society to help strengthen support for people affected by dementia in communities across the UK.
At Well Pharmacy, we see every day how important small, compassionate moments can be. Our community pharmacy teams often build trusted relationships with patients over a number of years. For many, the pharmacy is somewhere they visit regularly - a place where they feel comfortable asking for help. Through this partnership, we want to build on that, helping our pharmacy teams feel even more confident supporting patients, carers and families living with dementia.
“As community pharmacies, we are in a unique position to help people feel supported, understood and able to access help close to home, and we hope this partnership will make a meaningful difference to patients, carers and families across the UK.”
- Andrew Caplan, Chief Retail Officer
Together with Alzheimer's Society, we're working to improve dementia awareness, support and signposting across community pharmacies, helping more people affected by dementia access the information and support they need.
This includes:
“When dementia changes your life, getting the right support can make all the difference.
Community pharmacy teams are often one of the most accessible healthcare touchpoints for people affected by dementia and their carers. By working together, we hope to reach even more people who need practical advice, emotional support and guidance for the best next step.”
- Michelle Dyson CB, Chief Executive Officer of Alzheimer's Society
This partnership is part of a wider programme across Well Pharmacy that includes:
